Wash. Rinse. Repeat... Doesn't work
Chronic Pain is one, if not the most challenging and under-addressed issue in our healthcare system. Peter started changing the way he viewed muscle tissue after calling out massage therapy as a practice that is outdated with the modern human.
This belief perhaps is why a Cycle of endless medical visits exists in almost every household across the globe. Whether you're of the Eastern or Western medicine practice, this exists. You know you are in The Cycle if you've gone in for any treatment, you pay to feel better, your lifestyle causes it to come back, you go back in or you deal with it as your life burden. This can begin as early as a child and is very well documented by those in their later years.
Peter highlights and exposes the truth that massage therapy is part of this problem. Specifically, Massage doesn't have a standard method to decipher between chronic and acute muscle tension.
This small detail is perhaps the foundation of more than a mistake. It's a flaw. For 10 years Peter has been communicating that muscle has a density spectrum without a clear way to interpret the why! That might not be too comforting. But at least he stops the wash, rinse, repeat approach that is all too prevalent.
when we understand our relationship with gravity is the foundation to healing.
Relationships & Order
Bodywork is not the service for administering healing. It's the service of interpreting Relationships and creating order.
It is Peter's belief that there are internal stresses within each body and external stress which happen to our body.
The moment we were born our bodies have been in friction with the outside elements. Our social behavior and our general desire to be in a community; propel us into a subconscious pattern of monkey-see-monkey-do.
And, over the course of Time, under pressure, and with a given amount of weight. Our bodies have weathered a life that includes a variety of lifestyles and life accidents at every step of the way.
Developing chronic experiences is undetectable to most all healthcare specialists for reasons that are honest and also sinister.
By broadening the scope of one's origin and one's pain. A symptom that may appear to be unrelated could become the source. A Bodyworker understands there are 12 possibilities you feel the way you do. And each have a relationship with gravity. We can't turn back the clock, but we perhaps can get ourselves moving forward with less friction then yesterday.
DOES NOT MEAN THE REMOVAL OF PAIN.
BUT THE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO EXCEED PAST OuR PERCEIVED LIMITATIONS.
Healing takes a community.
At this time, The Bodyworker, To put it crudely, is the middle man of the healthcare Industry. Peter's role in the healthcare system is to identify how a client is traveling through the healthcare system. He provides consultation By way of massage techniques drawn from Structural Integration and a custom-made Chronic Pain test that calculates trauma history, Pain patterns, and physical stress signals.
Peter exposes truths that can lead to building a plan that brings order out of traditionally a chaotic cycle that mystifies many specialists and patients alike.
Having empowerment of your health is knowing why and how you feel the way you do because the objecitve observations dispel any and all subjective inclinations.
IS MADE BY THE COLLECTION OF EXPERIENCES DONE TO US, OR BY OUR OWN DOING.
WISDOM IS KNOWING THAT THE BODY DOESN'T have any empathy how we got to where we are today.
See. Feel. Hear.
Depending on the case. A full assessment takes around 3 60 min sessions and can be structured as a group or over individual sessions.
Because the nature of the tests are different between clients, and, the nature of this work is unconventional; it's safe to say the amount of invested time, emotion, (and I'll say flat out money)... is up to you.
These sessions test muscle tissue densities, decipher muscle patterns, observe structural alignments, check for subconscious holding patterns, and ultimately walk you through physical evidence collected during our time.
Whether the prognosis looks optimistic, complicated, or bleak; Peter feels you will receive an unbiased opinion that people still feel has given a sense of clarity they had longed for.
